Providing learning opportunities across disciplines for university students, faculty, and practicing professionals to improve collaboration and quality of care.

Clinical Experiences for University Students

There is a critical need to increase the number of professionals in our region with the education, knowledge and experience of ASD who are able to meet the unique and complex needs of this growing population across the lifespan. Our organization works with local universities in the development and implementation of high quality practicum and clinical opportunities.

Northwest Autism Center provides internship, practicum and clinical experiences for university students in a variety of disciplines including Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA), Occupational Therapy, Special Education, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Pathology, Social Work, etc. Faculty or students interested may contact our office for more information. Click here to learn more about our exciting new partnership with Whitworth University’s School of Education with a new clinic location on the Whitworth University Campus. This program addresses the critical need for increased provider capacity in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder and is a partnership facilitating accessibility of both coursework and practicum experiences for university students pursuing BCBA licensure.
