Northwest Autism Center is coordinating a “Giving Tree” for the youth and adults in homes in our region contracted with Developmental Disabilities Administration.
The holidays can be a particularly isolating period of time for our most vulnerable populations. Youth and adults with developmental disabilities living in residential care homes do not always have loved ones or friends to visit with. And often, they have needs and wants that go unfilled. We are reaching out to you – our community of partners and friends – for help in sharing the spirit of the season.
If you are able to help please choose a “house” (they are organized by tabs) on the site linked below. There are up to 6 residents in each house. Our goal is that each resident receives at least one gift (so up to 6 gifts per house adopted). If other items listed can be purchased for them, great! But, the goal is one per person. Thank you so much for your help!
We ask that you drop off your gifts, unwrapped, by December 7th, 2020 by 3pm. Please include a sticky note identifying the house name and the item (found on your sign up confirmation email). Please drop off items at our offices at 528 E. Spokane Falls BLVD or 8506 N. Wall in Spokane, WA. If you have any questions please contact Jill at 509-328.1582.
You can also choose to direct money directly to NAC so we can pick the items for you based on existing need
