Providing learning opportunities across disciplines for university students, faculty, and practicing professionals to improve collaboration and quality of care.

Clinical Experiences for University Students

There is a critical need to increase the number of professionals in our region who are knowledgeable about and have experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in order to meet the unique and complex needs of this growing population across the lifespan. Our organization works with local universities in the development and implementation of high quality practicum and clinical opportunities.

Northwest Autism Center provides internship, practicum and clinical experiences for university students in a variety of disciplines including Applied Behavior Analysis (BCBA, BCaBA) and Speech and Language Pathology (SLP, SLPa).

Our goal is to address the essential need for increased provider capacity in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities in the community. Further, we support students at all levels of their academic and professional growth while seeking their related licensures.

We also provide guest lectures on related topics to support student/faculty needs.
